The 8 fat quarters will be used to make the star, ring, and scrappy border.
The first border is made with background fabric to make the center float.
The second border is actually the scrappy border.
The third border is the small border that separate the scrappy border and the outside border.

Fabric requirement is for Lap quilt size (70x70)
8 Fat Quarters-Star, ring and scrappy border
1 1/2 yards- background and first border
second border is scrappy
1/2 yard for third border
2 yards for outside border
3/4 yard for binding
4 1/4 yards - Backing
Sewing machine, foot pedal and cord
24 " long ruler, (12" ruler helpful but not necessary)
rotary cutter, pins, erasable pencil, basic sewing supplies
