2023 0124 Paint and Stitch ~ Instructor: Sherrie Cahill
Experiment with paint on fabric and free motion quilting designs. Class 1 we will be painting your choice of 2 patterns using Lumiere Metallic paints which we have for sale at the shop. In class 2 we will be learning free motion quilting stitching to accent your project with threaded textures. You can complete your project as a wall quilt or wrap it around a canvas frame to display.

We will be painting on fabric in class 1 and stitching basic free motion patterns in class 2
Materials Included:
Pattern can be picked up at the shop before 1st class. Homework instructions includes how to trace design to fabric
Requirements:
Class 1:
Lumiere Paints by Jacquard,
Paint brushes (optional you can use my brushes),
2/3 yd solid black fabric (this will be divided for front and backing),
White marking pencil,
Totally Stable or freezer paper,
Class 2: Sewing Machine,
darning foot or free motion foot for your machine,
40wt black thread and bobbin,
Batting, Backing, pins, Machinger's quilting gloves,
fat quarter of a solid fabric & scrap batting for practice piece,
