The purpose for having this class is to teach a technique using the Creative Grids Pineapple Trim Tool. Fat quarters work well for this quilt. You may use several different patterns in the same color family; or use 2 colorways and your background.
This is a beautiful & very gratifying block to make. It is not easy, but fun.

My wish is that you always purchase fabric from 3 Hens & A Chick Supplies: Pineapple trim tool by Creative Grids 1/4" foot for your machine (MUST HAVE) Know how to sew an accurate scant 1/4" seam. rotary cutter with fresh blade and cutting mat. travel iron and ironing surface helpful sewing machine in good working order, foot pedal and power cord scissors thread and other essential sewing supplies Fabric: fat quarters work well for this quilt. take a look online at some pineapple quilts to determine a color scheme. BEFORE CLASS HOMEWORK: Be sure that your strips are at least 1 3/4" wide (can be wider, just not narrower). Using scraps stripes from old projects is acceptable. From light cut~ (16) 1 3/4" wide x 12"-15" long From dark color cut~ (1) 2 1/2" square (center square) From color: cut (4) 2 1/2" x 4" rectangles (four corners of your block) If using 2 color families, please cut four. THE FOLLOWING STRIPS SHOULD BE FROM 2 COLOR FAMILIES, 8 OF EACH (16) 1 5/8" wide x 12"-15" long |
