For the 16" pillow you will need:
18 - 2 1/2" squares of colors for patchwork
18 - 2 1/2" squares of a solid color (these blocks will have applique on them)
3/8 yard fabric for borders and binding
1/2 yard for pillow backing
scraps of fabric for applique shapes (there are fish, seashells and letter appliques)
light weight paper backed fusible web for applique
sewing machine in good working order
1/4" piecing foot
thread for piecing
open toe foot is helpful for the applique
